This article presents an analysis of the Rotary Global View peacebuilders Camp 2025 Camp in collaboration with the Galtung Institute - Spain for the theory and practice of peace, an international initiative held in Vila-real (Castellón) aimed at training young people as agents of change and peace ambassadors within the context of the current global polycrisis. The seven-day residential program brings together participants aged 18 to 30 from highly conflict-affected countries, with the objective of equipping them with the 3Rs—reconstruction, reconciliation, and conflict resolution—based on Galtung’s Transcend approach. The pedagogical model integrates conceptual knowledge, skills training through experiential activities, and praxis guided by the core question of what peace is and how it is constructed. Through an intimate, committed, and reflective coexistence, participants explore the roots of conflict at intra- and interpersonal levels, as well as across micro, meso, macro, and mega dimensions, recognizing violence as a learned social phenomenon and the human capacity to unlearn it. The camp functions as a social engineering process for peace, promoting the construction of more cooperative and less violent societies through dialogue, listening, and the development of individual and collective loving potential. The results point to the development of young people with enhanced capacities for cooperation, empathy, and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, highlighting the potential of experiential peace education programs as tools for social transformation and intercultural coexistence in contexts of diversity and conflict.
