The scientific article addresses pedagogical and educational research with a peace perspective as a fundamental approach to understand, analyze and promote peace in all aspects of education. The text begins by stating the general objective of exploring the role and importance of pedagogical and educational research with a peace perspective and the central question about the purpose of this research: For what and for whom do we do pedagogical and educational research with a peace perspective? It is emphasized that education is not only focused on the transmission of academic knowledge, but also on the cultivation of values, attitudes and skills that foster peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and peaceful conflict management. Specific research methods that are relevant in this field are mentioned, such as intercultural action research for peace, ethnography for peace, critical discourse analysis and grounded theory. These methods allow understanding intercultural and social dynamics from a peace perspective. In conclusion, the paper emphasizes that pedagogical and educational research with a peace perspective is essential to transform educational systems and contribute to the construction of a more just, inclusive and peaceful world. It invites researchers and educators to adopt an ethical and reflective approach, recognizing and valuing the diversity of perspectives and experiences present in education.
